Overview

Ahmad Jakarta presents a pair of two-story residences that draw from the classical European villa tradition while rooting themselves firmly in the contemporary Indonesian residential context. The architectural vision is one of dignified presence: a facade that commands attention not through sheer scale but through the quality and intentionality of its form. Where most housing developments in the area default to the flat contemporary box typology, this project introduces a language of refined curves and measured symmetry that feels both aspirational and enduring.

The most striking signature element of the design is the cylindrical tower volume that anchors the corner of each unit's upper floor. Rendered in warm cream plaster, these towers contrast powerfully against the deep charcoal grey of the main wall surfaces, drawing the eye upward and giving each residence an almost palatial silhouette. Tall narrow windows with dark frames, proportioned in the tradition of French Provincial fenestration, are nestled within these cylindrical volumes and bathe the upper rooms in generous natural light. High-pitched hip roofs finished in textured dark grey tiles cap each unit with a confident, refined profile.

The material palette operates in three distinct registers that together create a sense of layered sophistication. Charcoal grey plaster dominates the main facade, projecting permanence and depth. Cream cylindrical volumes introduce warmth and classical reference. At street level, the carport back walls are clad in dramatic black marble-veined stone, delivering a moment of unexpected luxury at the very threshold of the home. Ornate wrought-iron balcony railings with scrollwork detailing soften the geometric rigidity of the roofline and add a handcrafted quality that elevates the overall composition.

The carport is seamlessly integrated beneath the cantilever of the upper floor, accommodating two vehicles per unit without any auxiliary structure cluttering the facade. This solution keeps the street presence clean and continuous while delivering real practical comfort for the residents. The entrance zone at ground level features generous glazing framed in charcoal, ensuring transparency and natural light flow into the interior. Low tropical hedging and flowering plants soften the boundary between the property and the street, giving the cluster a welcoming green presence appropriate to its Jakarta neighborhood.

The overall effect is a residential cluster that refuses to be ordinary. Every detail has been considered as part of a coherent visual story, from the textured roof tiles to the proportioned reveals around each window. Ahmad Jakarta is a home designed to read as premium from the very first glance and to grow more distinguished and beloved with the passage of time.
